CASBEC — Cairo University

A full rebrand for CASBEC — the Center for Advanced Software & Biomedical Engineering Consultations, a research and consulting institute affiliated with Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering (established 1990). We rebuilt the historic Thoth emblem, drew a more saturated Egyptian‑astronomy palette, and carried the system across stationery, web, and the youthful CASBEC Learning sub‑brand.

01The brief & the old identity

CASBEC is a research and consulting institute in medical engineering, affiliated with Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering since 1990. The brief: a modern identity that still honours the institute’s academic roots — and fixes an old logo that had grown cluttered and hard to reproduce.

02The transformation

Same soul, new form. We kept Thoth — the scribe-god of writing shared with Cairo University’s own crest — and rebuilt him as one confident silhouette inside a clean gold ring.
